FinBooks Privacy Policy

FinBooks respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information You Enter

FinBooks may allow you to connect a Jellyfin or compatible media-service account, save library and playback preferences, and use the information needed to browse and listen to the audiobook library you choose.

Server Connections, Syncing, and Local Storage

FinBooks requires a server connection and account login to sync with the Jellyfin/media service you configure. Information needed to connect to that service, along with app preferences and local playback state, may be stored on your device. Your audiobook library remains managed by the server or media service you choose; FinBooks does not operate a separate cloud library for you.

Data Collection

FinBooks does not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or other personal data for its core audiobook features. FinBooks does not display advertising and does not sell your personal information.

Credentials and Authentication

When you sign in to a Jellyfin or compatible media-service account, your authentication information is used to establish the connection requested by you. Connection details are handled so FinBooks can communicate with the server you configure. Do not use a server or account that you do not own or have permission to access.

Sharing of Information

FinBooks does not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising. Information sent through the app is directed to the server or media service you choose to connect, subject to that service’s configuration and privacy practices.

Trial and Purchases

FinBooks includes a 30-day trial. After the trial, any purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. FinBooks does not see or store your payment-card information.

Deleting Your Information

You can remove saved connection details, preferences, playback information, and other locally stored app data using the controls available in FinBooks, where provided. Deleting the FinBooks app also removes its locally stored data from your device, subject to your device’s operating-system behavior and any backups you control. Library and account data stored on your Jellyfin or media server must be deleted through that server.

Children’s Privacy

FinBooks is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If FinBooks’ information practices change, this policy and the app’s store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.
