Finson Privacy Policy

Finson respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information You Enter

Finson may allow you to enter or save a Jellyfin server address, account identifier, connection preferences, playback preferences, favorites, playlists, and other settings needed to connect to and use your personal media library.

Server Connections and Local Storage

Finson connects to the Jellyfin server address that you provide. Connection information and app preferences may be stored locally on your device so the app can remember your setup. Your music library remains on your Jellyfin server; Finson does not operate a separate cloud music library for you.

Data Collection

Finson does not sell your personal information. Unless a future release clearly states otherwise, the app does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. Finson does not collect location data, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers for its core music-client features.

Credentials and Authentication

When you sign in to a Jellyfin server, authentication information is used to establish the connection requested by you. Finson is intended to keep sensitive connection details on your device and send them only as needed to the server you configure. Do not use a server or account that you do not own or have permission to access.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising. Information sent through Finson is directed to the Jellyfin server and services you choose to connect, subject to the configuration and privacy practices of that server.

Deleting Your Information

You can remove saved servers, accounts, preferences, playlists, and other locally stored app data using the controls available in Finson, where provided. Deleting the Finson app also removes its locally stored data from your device, subject to your device’s operating-system behavior and any backups you control. Media and account data stored on your Jellyfin server must be deleted through that server.

Children’s Privacy

Finson is not directed toward children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If Finson’s information practices change, this policy will be updated accordingly.
